There are some useful suggestions above, although I have new DT HUBS/Wheels and I am not inclined to change those as a means to add color. And, the headset is also not that amenable to the usual way of adding color. The headset parts (Cane Creek) are in the image below. Outlining the lugs and adding some pinstriping (I am partial to Celtic designs) might be my best bet, but I am still thinking on this .....

I have a blue King headset on an otherwise black bike. I regret it, wish it was black, pewter, or silver. I would caution you about doing hubs too, as they are expensive and a commitment to a look for the life of the wheels, and make it harder to move the wheels to another bike if you have one. I mean, colour matched headsets and hubs look great, but you're stuck with them.

Add colour with bar tape and tires, and maybe bottle cages and a saddle. Bar tape and tires are consumables and will let you change the theme of your bike on a regular basis. But for my money, I'd be reluctant to invest too much in coloured accessories that come with a big price tag that you're going to be stuck with for a while. But I'm not a role model. I like black and grey bikes.

When I still had my pitch black Parlee I would mix it up every couple months with a different bright color bar tape. It was more than enough to scratch the itch and let me change things up cheaply. It's also a good way to play with color before you settle on pinstripes, tinted clear coats, or a full on repaint.

Tan sidewall tires are the only acceptable colour introduction to an all black bike.

I am a mostly black guy. But I recently ordered a set of Industry9 wheels for my nude/matte finish Open Upper.
Then I found out that Chris King is making an integrated headset that fits the Open (Dropset 2)- Got me thinking about more color?
    Matte punch, mango, or turquoise?
