    From the article:

"I've ridden 5,000 miles in less than a year and even now, during the winter season, I continue to feel energised riding and discovering new places.
"There is something about watching the world go by, while getting a workout, that does something to your endorphins.
"One of the prerequisites for being a photographer is having strong feet - with a bike, it's having strong legs."

    Ebikes rule.

I have worked for the past 10 to 12 years to get my wife on a bike. Tennis, that was her thing yet still I tried. I purchased a Trek, a Specialized, David Kirk built her a beautiful bike, its a match to this one, but Joe Bell used a shade of purple
I bought a tandem, she liked it but not enough to spend much time on. Then we got an early electric bike, a trek. It was a utility bike, and she'd ride around the neighborhood with the grandkids but that was about it.
Then last summer she and I were supposed to leave for Spain for a year and a half and I had Carl Strong build a bike to take with me and then I ran across Orbea's (Spanish connection there) new electric bikes. Battery is hidden in the downtube, motor in the rear hub, and the action is so much better in these new bikes than years back...and BINGO! we have a winner. She's hooked. I still think an electric bike is cheating and refuse to go there, but I'm glad my vote didn't count. I'm glad so many others, the guy in the article, are finding the joy in riding a bike, getting outside, exploring our neighborhoods and countryside as you just can't in a car and feeling for a moment or two a like a kid again:

And yes, those are leopard skinned tennis shoes...I didn't win every battle.

But you did win the most important one!

Patience is King. Well done. A buddy of mine is deep in the Rabbit hole as we speak. He is focused on the high end single ring Specialized.
