Did I see a sneak peek of your refinished Zank on the VeloColor socials this week, Matt Strongin?...

    Smokin’.

Would *love* to see it rebuilt with the original Ti post and Grammo stem! I’m guessing a more typical build is on the cards, though?

You're thinking of another bike, maybe Ryun's. Mine has a custom stem from Winter and plain aluminum stem. The stem was painted to match and I'm still debating on the post. I'll likely try one of the WR Composti in 20mm setback, but to start I'll just use the cheap Deda I already have. Groupset will be used Rival 10 with a set of mismatched wheels.

Damn, yes, you’re right. Still, this would look awesome built that way!

Functional it’s good too, though - as long as it’s out there (which we all know it will be in your command), that’s all that matters.

I was joking about the Rival and wheels. I'm leaning towards putting it back together as it was with the Chorus 11 (pic below) or considering possibly switching it over to SRAM since that is what I prefer ergonomically.

Matt... the real question is are you going to keep Campy on it or switch back to Sram?!

I'm going to put the Chorus 11 group back on it for now. I have it already on hand and the only other group I have laying around is a Force group that's seen better days (functionally fine, but it was on my race bike for years, so it has scars). This bike deserves a group that's aesthetically clean. Maybe I'll replace it with a new Red group at some point, but the Chorus will do the trick and look great in the process.

Love the euro/italian 70s geo details in blue black and white. That´s how i like bikes to look..
It begs for some white saddle/ tape show off.

While Matt was refreshing his Z from white to candy red, I was independently changing my Z from candy red to pearl white. The world is a strangely connected place.

Were you on the WOD on Sunday? I saw a white Zank twice while walking with my family.
