This will be my new gravel bike. I asked for the contact points to be the same as my Kirk JKS-X. The Kirk has rim brakes and a max tire clearance of 35c. This will be discs and clearance for at least 40c tires. I still plan on getting plenty of use out of the Kirk, but there are times when disc brakes for the mud clearance alone will be nice. Anyone who rode The Farmer's Daughter gravel grinder this spring will no what I'm talking about.
Hopefully Mike gets it shipped out today and I have it in time for the weekend.

    Build kit is,
Shimano Di2 8070 shifting with clutched rear derailleur
    Praxis carbon crankset
    Salsa Cowbell carbon bars
    Salsa stem
Next Xplor wheels with Chris King hubs
    Firefly seat post
    Specialized Romin Evo saddle
    Gravel King SK 700x38 tires
    King Ti cages
    xtr pedals
    gearing is 48/32 , 11-34

According to the instagram archives, the first production Ti Zank bike debuted back in April of 2017. So rad!

Playing around with some new-old wheels. They feel nice on the Z.

I spent part of Sunday afternoon at the Minuteman Cross races.

    Such beautiful weather.

    So many Zanconatos.

    So much pizza.

Well, we didn't get it finished but it's starting to look like a bicycle.

My buddy, who is a retailer, ordered me the stuff but because Di2 is new for both of us we missed a couple parts on the order and we were running out of time yesterday anyway. So I brought it back home and will finish it myself when I can. Looking forward to hitting some trails and getting it dirty, hopefully still in 2019.....!

    Saab,

That is looking hot. Love that color. What's it called or what's the paint code if you don't mind sharing, please? And is that the tall, 15mm stack, top cap on that CC 110 headset?

Honestly, I don't know the paint color. I just requested a "Forest Green" or "British Racing Green" or whatever Mike's painter could come up with. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's actually a powder coat finish. It is not a metallic color, just a plain ol' green. But I really like it for the dirt road mission of this bike.

As to the headset, it's the 40, not the 110 and I'm not sure about the top cover, but I'd say it's 15mm or so. Given the less race-like and more gravel-oriented nature of this bike, I'm hopeful the head tube isn't too short. I gave Mike my contact points from my Independent Fabrication and he knows my other Zanconato build so we based it on those. But both of those are great bikes so I'll wait until I get to ride it before I second guess anything.

This is my first Di2 build and getting the details right are important to me, so I'm going very slowly. But I'm looking forward to having it all up and running.

That machine looks great, Jim! We are swimming in a sea of red and black bicycles that would make Stendhal proud. Good on you for some lateral vision.

Can I suggest these to trim those whiskers?

Thanks Jim - I'll drop Mike a line on the paint.

Paging Saab -- your hometown is waiting for the Zanc to visit! The proportions on your bikes always look so right, and this continues the good stuff.

Not quite Packer green, but with the flags left on the wheels there's a decent facsimile of green and gold:) And thank heavens it's not the ugly all-white that has shown up on Sunday or Monday night games!

How long until we can see this build completed? Appetites have been whetted.
