Very slow turning, but more of a problem for me, was that it felt like i was very high up in the air. Like sitting on a telephone pole.

I feel like that too. I find it really hard to get any saddle to bar drop that I am used to also. It feels like the front end is so high up, just doesn't feel right. Sounds like I'm not alone in thinking that.

Here is my Sizemore rainbike, an up-and-comer from Seattle. A rainbike in Seattle is more of an other half of the year bike. More pics from his website: Matt Beers Training Rig : Sizemore Bicycle

Great bike. Well-proportioned, and well-loved. May look a bit rough, but full of personal touches. I love the way it's evolved from the first pics on flickr. Thumbs up.

Looks like a bike that gets ridden when most people would stay at home, but still with enough style to go white saddle and tape on a bike for crap weather. Nice.

Those two "Meech" bikes are just sick. Paint, Logo Script, And frame details are all totally rad.

Here is my old bike, a french '98 "Pierre Perrin" : Reynolds 853, Ouzo Pro Fork, Campa Chorus, Open 4cd wheels with PMP hubs. I used it between 1998 and 2003 all around France, and now it's my second "mulet", just few kms per year in Burgundy...

My recent find. Some new rubber, tape, appropriate saddle and a Ergo overhaul and its ready to go.

x2. Are those White Industries cranks with a Homebrew ring on it? I REALLY wanted to get that ring (but in Ti) but it sounds like the guy who runs homebrew really screwed things up :(

Here is my Rodriguez. I bought it used for a song and converted it to 650B. Doesn't have the sex as a lot of these frames here, but it's an awesome bike:

    Default 1986 Alpine

Here's my first custom steel frame -- a 1986 Alpine Cycles Columbus SPX road racer made by Fred Kelley. This first picture is from December 1986 the second from April 2013. I crunched the frame up in June of '87 in the National Capital Open bike race and it never rode quite right again UNTIL J.D. Buchanan Cycles realigned it for me almost 26 years later. Thanks, Jeff. Time to ride.

    Default Méral

Wife's bike, I bought it at a flea market in Provence a few months ago. French frame called Méral. Rides beautifully. I do not like the bar tape I put on it though, any suggestions? I was thinking off-white coarse cotton tape perhaps?
