This is Dr. Brooks' old Hampsten Strada Bianca Ti. Absolutely the finest bike I've ever owned. Currently running it as a 1x8, with a 40t ring, because I tore my achilles a while back and this makes me spin like mad. No mashing allowed. Phil Wood and Velocity wheels by Ergott. And it is running smooth Honjos in its current iteration, with a stem-mounted bell from Velo Orange.

    Default My new Viner

Here is my new Viner. It is as close to 100% Italian as I could get. IMHO, it is delicious.

My Kirk (only bike) on Loveland Pass 7-12-08, the day of the Triple Bypass. I cram as much as I can onto my bike on long rides in the mountains -- I should have asked for rack mounts. Maybe next bike...

    so many cool bikes.

Frenk, yours looks great in its used state.

Tailwinds, yours always looks good. Just a thought--you might look at a bag support (like the Viva at Velo Orange or the Carradice Bagman) for a slightly bigger underseat bag.

    Default Marastoni anybody?

A couple more bikes. Both of these were made by the same builder, 25 years apart. The green and blue one was built in 1953 whereas the dusty rose one was built in 1978. Check out the front derailleur on the newer bike. The newer bike is labeled Marco Marastoni in honor of Licinio Marastoni's son who was killed in a car accident.

This bike has a frame that was built by Fossati who later became the last team mechanic of Fausto Coppi and the Coppi Tricolfina team in 1959.
