I had an inbred flock (or nearly) of those when I was a kid...seemed to peck each other to pieces.

Aggressive little things. Yup. It depends on flock balance. 4 was perfect. 3 never was. It helps if you have enough space. Small cages promote aggression.

Big cage. They love to fly the house, which I let them do regularly. They always head back to the cage, like it's home, cuz it is.

Awesome. They're super fun, but as expected the little guy is also a lot of work.

This is Ruthie: we rescued her from a shelter just over 8 years ago.

She does make a great theft deterrent.

Claude, my dear friend for 19 1/2 years was recently put down. It was the best thing to do.

My "Giant" Danios These guys are old geezers at 1.5 yrs. Can't believe they survived the snow-related 3 day power outage we had in upstate NY last month. (hope it's ok for 1st post to be pets. I'll get my ride up when I can get a nice pic in the sun).

There is also a Pleco in there somewhere. Bought him to clean the tank, but he's the laziest bottom-feeder ever.

We just found out that my daughter's hamster has cancer. We've had several hamsters over the years, but we have never had one like this. He is so friendly and is happy to just sit in your hands...he even fell asleep once while my daughter was holding him. We really don't want to watch him suffer and so we are looking into putting him to sleep...sad

Here's a funny picture of him in the tube...

Scottish deerhound or irish wolfhound? I want one. When I'm back in DC at some point we should do a ride and greyhound party.

    Heres my gal, JoJo McNeal.
