Say, what handlebars are those? My hands/wrists don't like the short-shallow curved bars I have, and Zipp no longer appears to make the SL Contours with traditional bend. Thanks!

I'll second the BlackMagic recommendation. If I keep my Vagen and get it repainted, they'll be doing it... I have a 2014 and the paint is a hot-mess of chips and flaking away paint. The basecoat clearly was not done properly.

Which paint scheme/color? I'm thinking it's the 2018 Ghost scheme, but can't place the color.

It was custom, the color and the scheme. There are other pictures further up the thread that show the detail a little better. It has Ichigo graphics done in Ghost with some "weathering" in a couple places. The color is based on Pantone 8502, they came close but its not exact...I'm more than happy with how it turned out.

I remember this beauty sold here a few years ago ... does anyone know who the (new) owner is/was? I have an itch I need to scratch somehow.

    Fully built:

Turned out very nice and light With some pretty beefy clinchers
Without the seatbag but as pictured:

Swapped my lightweights on there just to see:

My guess with some silly parts you could get this bike into the 12s, Pretty impressive for a 56cm

Mike's (Busyman) contribution really makes the bike pop

Only had an intro ride so far but still rides very much like a smooth steel bike despite the lightweight. No top tube wiggle no chatter thru corners.
Ill be able to tell more after the weekend rides but so far very impressed.

Folks... very long time since I posted here last, but has anybody actually got a bike delivered from Vanilla/Speedvagen in the last 6 months?

I am waiting to see this year's Surprise Me. Not one posted anywhere yet. See bikes coming out once in awhile on Instagram. For new image content, here is my 2018 Surprise Me - got it in March of this year.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but if anyone is selling a 55/56 canti cross frame and forks I'd be very interested to hear. Thanks!

Back from Hot Tubes with fresh paint for the spring. Going on 7 years with this guy. Still plenty of magic in it

Looks great, Ryun. It's a good thing to refresh an experienced bike.

How prescriptive were you with the repaint? In other words, am I seeing your good taste or Hot Tubes'?

Looks great. Mine is overdue for a repaint. Trying to decide whether to paint it or move on to something else. Vanilla Worskshop had a long wait and a high price for a repaint. Hot Tubes gave me a better quote. Are you happy with their work?
