Early reports are that fork isn't all that great. But at least it's expensive and heavy.

Some of the newer reports are that it's better than first thought once dialed in. Besides it looks great and a SV isn't that light anyways.

My Vanilla is finally here. Im sure they will post much better professional photos but here are some quick shots.
Saddle setback needs to be adjusted a little further back but didnt have a plump at work.
    Specs:
    2015 SR11
Brushed King hubs enve 4.5 ses rims
    Brushed headset
    Nitto bars
    Ericksen post
    King cages
    vanilla stem
    Vittoria 25mm tubulars
Gold KMC chain has to go but otherwise near perfect
Also have some enve 25s with the same hubs that will probably look more proper but its go fast time of the year.

Came in the new shipping package they have. Bike was mounted on a handmade wooden platform. Just tossed on the bars and front wheel.
Heading out for a ride and will report back later. Pretty stoked.

    So many nice details

Ryun that is a superb Vanilla example. I love the new shipping carton - it's all in the detail. Enjoy in the best of health. M

    You win.
There is nothing more we can add to the world of bike porn.

I guess we can shut VS down now.

I disagree. If the seatpost were a NOS Campy Record in Ti...then we'd be done. THat Erickson sticks out like a sore thumb on that bike. Since when is a saddle clamp the largest diameter object on a bike? That and he's got it in the small ring.

With the Vanilla sharing the load, it was time to give the Vagen some much needed love before Vsalon Child services came and took it away. Its had a hard life but handled it well. Time for a clean up and a new chain.
Coat/SV doesnt get enough credit for how good their paint is. Not just the intricacy and all the details, but it may be the toughest paint Ive ever had.
A year later, many miles and I still love this thing. Di2 has performed flawless and I think Ive only had it on the charger once.
DA9000 brake cables suck but that was easily swapped out. Oh and Ive cheaped on the tires from FMBs to Corsa Elites. Hope no one pulls my bike snob card

I have to agree, I never liked the clamp on that seatpost but I could live with it, bike looks amazing.

One situation where the Moots version would be better suited perhaps?

    Still one *killer* bike though.
