    Default Nice

Very nice, I had one last year, an old lugged Wojcik but ended up selling it. Last I heard he was back building bikes and he has an ebay store where he has been marketing a new lugged anniversary frame.

    I have a cross bike.
Performs admirably on our local dirt roads as well as at Deerfield.
It also has the worst job of any bike I own: Winter commuter.
I think that the exposure to winter salt brine is going to shorten its life but that's not a knock on the bike at all.
It's the most versatile bike I own and I'm very happy with it. Will get some pics up.

If he was a better painter he'd have a wait list measured in years.

Ted doesn't paint in house. at one point he kinda did but not anymore. i don't know who's painting for him now. he's a real interesting guy. if you ever get a chance to talk with him do so.. he know's a lot. what's amazing about his frames is the welds, i had always thought he fillet brazed mine but he corrected me and told me it's tig'd. he hadn't done a fillet frame in years and if mine were he would have remembered.

I bought this Ted Wojcik from ebay.
Build it with mixed campy centaur/chorus components.

Ride it for a couple of times, then sold it to a friend......but I regret now...

I don't think there is a person alive who can weld a frame better than Ted. He has made a tremendous impact on the industry but goes about his business very quietly.

Back in 2007, I had Ted Wojcik build me up a frame/fork he affectionately call a "Yo Teddy".

Here's how it looked when I first brought it home:

I wanted to make it more custom, so built it back up with a ton of "vintage" parts from the early/mid 1990s along with some tasty modern bits:

I then turned it into a drop bar beast and used it for such rides as the D2R2. No photos of that build unfortunately.

Anyway, I sold the frame/fork to a guy back in 2010 and just yesterday, bought it back from him. He never used and actually never took it out of the box in which it was shipped (he had 40+ bikes). My wife was talking about how much she liked this bike earlier in the week and just for giggles I checked eBay the next day to see if any Ted Wojcik's were listed. Low and behold, there was my frame/fork! I sent an e-mail asking if he'd give me a nice deal, and he did. Was in New York for business for a few days so scooted over to Brooklyn to pick it up.

    Back in the stable:

    More later....

Damn. So clean. Love the fork an dropouts, but the whole thing is just put together great. Now get it dirty!

That green monster cross drop bar type a few posts back is awesome as well.

Some beautiful bike posted in here. Riding in New England in the early 90s I always lusted after a Wojcik hardtail, but never had one...

Does this count? It's the Wojcik Executive townie I picked up on eBay, pulling ornament duty at Christmas. (As I post this I realize how lucky I am to own it, and to live in a place where I can have it sitting unlocked on my front lawn.)
