    Polished is awesome.

When I was more of an MTB guy, I had a polished Turner XCE and a Titus Racer-X 100. I'd hit them with some compound a few times a year to remove the tarnish.

    slow down there Mickey---- FTW??!

That's one I haven't heard in a while. Have you suggested this forum for your friend? I'd love access to get an interview up on VS. I imagine his experience yields a pretty unique perspective on fabricating for the bike industry. How about it?

Here's my Spooky. Not having ridden aluminum since the early 90s, I was very leery of the frame. But two months in, including a couple of 5+ hour rides, and I keep coming back to it. It handles like a slot car, but is surprisingly all day comfortable. Mine has a custom team powder coat job and a patchwork build kit. Save for the sloping TT, I really do love everything about it.

It's a Storck Stiletto Aero. I was originally going to use an EDGE but the powder took so long that I ended up selling that fork to a customer and the Storck was the only thing sitting around. The thing is, the rake on the fork is a pretty crazy 37.5mm which reduces an already short wheelbase. It feels a little like a track bike as a result, but once you get used to the way it corners, the bike is so much fun. It does make the bike look even more like a cartoon. Once the fork was on there, I had no choice but to add the 404.

For another cartoony Spooky, here's a teammate's Supertouch. It's not done yet (thus the lack of decals) but you see where we're going with it. It's a real hoot to ride as well.

It's called the Lumberjack and we are starting a batch within a month. I'll be putting up a notice re: waitlist soon. Heck, I was just fettling some prototype parts not two hours ago....
