Makeover complete. Steerer trimmed, saddle position dialed and it's now good to go. It does need new tires, but I'l get to that eventually.

Threw my Quarq on the Skeletor just now. Haven't ridden at all the past couple of weeks and rather excited to get back out on a bike that hasn't gotten a ton of miles lately.

Between starting school, a big move, and life kind of getting in the way, throwing a leg over the bike hasn't been easy these past few weeks. Finally got my shit together and explored the "new" roads around these parts. I have a feeling I'm going to really dig riding around here. Also, threw the Skeletor together. The Supertouch is crying to me from the garage though...

Jacob, where are you these days?
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk

I hate these types of questions but what kind of bars are those?

Ritchey WCS Classic, which are no longer made (damn you, Ritchey!). Deda Newton Shallows are interchangeable and what I use on a couple of other bikes. Same shape and still available.

The other Spooky was crying out to be ridden. So I rode it. It was glorious.

Defunct as far as I know. Frank the Welder is still building up a storm up here in Bellows Falls, VT, so if you want some aluminum love he's still your guy.

From his website re: road frames

I am pretty bad at jotting down that type of information but here is the low-down. I select tubes based on your geometry/weight/preferences and current availability. The base price is $1900 with powdercoat color of your choice. for that pile of cash you get a fully custom bike. shaped tubes, custom bearing platforms, extra burly or extra-light tubes, electronics or disk brakes. Any spacing, brackets or tubes or whatever. The price could go up or down a bit for complicated requests. Most things are included.

Even with a very tall headtube, it looks badass.

but kids, don't do this at home: always are rag/foam on the top tube when the bars are not taped!

Last we all heard, Mickey was now the head mechanic at the new downhill bike park at Berkshire East: Thunder Mountain Bike Park

Hope he's having fun there, people seem to love what they're doing to the place.

Just talked to Mickey, that dude seems to be on the top of the world right now. Was really great to chat with, and see seemed really happy with everything he has going on.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?

Ignore the distortion of the wheels. I think it's from the lens in my phone case.

the more you post this, the more I question my thoughts of running a polished crankset on a raw frame.
