Props to Spectrum & you for a fine bike. And more props to them cuse I broke a dropout on a 25+ year old custom 72 cm Spectrum and when I called, Tom said it was still under warranty and send it back for a free fix.........

Darren, that bike is fantastic. A new Sachs and a new Spectrum, you must be beside yourself!

I'd be interested in your (Darren's) take on the differences between the two. I have a Spectrum and I *KNOW* what Tom's take on handling and balance feels like and, frankly, can't imagine anything I'd like more. I seriously contemplated getting a Sachs also, but didn't. I'm sure they're both amazing and I wouldn't ask if one is better because at this level, I don't think we're dealing with better or worse, just different. So, I'm just wondering HOW the feel of Richard's bike is different.

I'd be fascinated with this feedback after you've had a chance to put some miles in on the Spectrum.

My only regret about NAHBS was that T.K. was not there. After looking at your new ride
my regret has increased but my bank balance is still the same! Great bike.

Centaur is, IMNSHO, gram for gram, dollar for dollar, the finest groupset extant and has been for a while now.

Bicycling once called it "a rare but great pick that will help you stand out from the fleet of Ultegra clones ..."
