Tom I keep threatening to bike a bike from you. Next fall I'm moving to Philly. I will also have a job. I'm running out of excuses.

My current excuse is not having a car to get to the barn (or $, but the car sounds better).

    Lot of nice stuff Tom!

With Monday free I'll be taking my Spectrum out for a two day jaunt this weekend. Been meaning to get a picture showing the Grand Bois Extra Leger clean fit. Perhaps will find the chance this time.

Beautiful bikes for sure Tom! I keep mine looking like new; the only problem is whenever I
work on it I keep the phone close by, and I'll go ahead and dial 91. That way if my wrench
slips and I scratch or chip paint then hopefully I can dial that last 1 as I'm passing out! :)

And now for something off the beaten path. We are doing a ground-up restoration of a '70s Holdsworth stayer bike for a long time client. Since he only got the frameset and the fork had been butchered anyway, we are replacing the steerer and building the stem and saddle supports from scratch. There aren't many still out there who actually have experience with this old stuff since derny racing with non-standard geometry bikes is a thing of the past. The UCI dumped the event after '95. A few pics of the supports we created in the traditional style, just better. Now, off to the chromer.

It is sad that some of these old classic track events are ancient history, likely not to return. Awesome project and we hope to see pics of the finished bike!

Sort of a copy of an old Rene Singer paint job for a client in California, just nicer.

And we finally got the new fork in for Too Tall after abusing the "supplier" at Ballers. One more final clear coat and she will be good to go. What you see here is the final sanding I do just before final clear coats. At this point, there are anywhere from two to nineteen clear coats on various parts of the frame and fork depending on what I need for a good finish. Stay tuned for the final images of the restoration. Actually, this frame is only seven years old, likely about 40,000 miles. He can correct me on that.

Ooooooo, what a nice surprise to see this T.K. Can't wait. Man I love that bike. Tom is being coy, I asked for a really strong fork and Serotta has the goods. There is nothing wrong with that bike that an even stiffer fork than the original AlphaQ would not make EVEN better.

HAHA I think that bike might be 8 years old (???) and yes it's got a bunch of miles. Funny thing is that when I got the bike I thought of it as just for racing and short intense training but quickly realized it's the right stuff for big miles too.
