"It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle." Default Mudhoney

I don't have the bike in hand yet for the build, but they put a picture of it on the page for the development team. Looks killer and matches the team kit for this year.

More pics when it gets here. I found it interesting that of the 6 folks they went with for the roster, 5 of us are rockin cross bikes. Kudos to them for recognizing the hot segment of the US market right now atmo.

What makes you think he's a Moots die-hard?

    P.S. The bike looks sweet!*

    Hi,
I was sent a link to your post about wishing you could redo your Seven road bike since recovering from your back injury. I was wondering if you still had it and were selling it. I realize that the post was back in December, so I doubt you still have it, but I figured I'd ask. Thanks in advance,

It was good. When we turned up 58 things got a little crazy....I looked down and we were clocking 361/2 at one point!

    Seven, I can't quit you.

Just getting back on the ugly beast to prepare for track racing in a few weeks. Setup is a 50X19, yup those are Nitto Noodle bars and some really really ancient campy track hubs with MA40 rims OMG clinchers ouch ouch ouch!!!

I wanted to prop the bike and Seven. This bike is a bloody pleasure to ride hard and for the life of me I'm conflicted every time I swing a leg over the d@mn ugly thing. It's great, I dig it. Someday I'll cut the thing into pieces and send them to a gentleman who sometimes visits here with a bottle of 20 yrs. old scotch 'cause there are no hard feelings. Sometimes you have to kill things you love.

hahahahahahaha sure sure and pigs fly too.

Yes look for me. Hey, go buy yourself a big arse golf umbrella and bring a few toe straps. Not much shade on the infield yo.

Are you racing all events? I am and I'll medal in one or die trying.

awesome. I was thinking I'd bring a tent, get there early, and sit in my tent all alone and not allow anyone else to use the tent. Perhaps I will hire a mariachi band for the day as well.

curious to know, did you specify the geo or did seven? i'm on my second tsunami because they spec'd the first one like a touring bike not a cross bike. i got it right for them with the second one and wouldn't get rid of it for the world.

hope you have a great season on board that beauty.

Well, kind of a combination of both. I worked with a local authorized fitter at seven's request, although personally I feel that was the least value-added step. Also used my numbers from previous cross bike and a good Q+A session with the designer at seven. I was surprised at some of what they came up with, especially with the longer chainstays, but I've had it on the road a few times and so far it feels snappier and livelier than the bike it replaced which had shorter chainstays. Haven't had it off road yet.

It looks big to my eye, at least bigger than my last cross bike, but hopefully not too much so. The measurements make it about the same size as my ideal road bike fit, which by some folks standards is how a cross bike should be.
