Congrats, Gordon! Ride the snot out of it. It's obvious that's a bike that's made to be beaten on. It even has top tubes for chainstays.

Thanks Matt! It's designed to be ridden! Not sure my legs can do it justice but I'll certainly try! RE chainstays - I might have found the threshold between comfort and stiffness ;)

Trying to wrap my head around that.
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk

Wow, that looks amazing! I wonder if Craig Gaulzetti has taken over the design department. And did Seven redesign their road fork? That looks 1,000% better than the older design.

Let's see a photo of that fan—that is gigantic. Is it vintage?

Somaya-26.jpgSomaya-14.jpgLong time lurker on VS. Thought I'd share my first Seven custom. This was originally commissioned two years ago as my first custom travel bike. I since went back to Signature and working with Blake Bedoya (as overall guru), Jordan Low and Mick Peel, we refreshed the paint and the leather premised off the energy and lustre of Islamic filigree patterning that I've seen on my travels. Jordan created the most insanely lovely background treatment for the components and all the filigree is hand-painted and Mick's leather work is as always, simply beyond.

The bike is mainly ultegra di2 though I did switch out a DA crankset for some ti-looking love on the refresh. mid-reach brakes and Compass 32's finish the package. Jordan also painted the gorgeous Silca Velo frame pump with the same beautiful paint treatment. I have consumed so many beautiful bikes on this site and stolen so many ideas. I do have some others that i'll throw on here as well now that I'm starting to document some of these projects. Thank you also to Ben from Signature for the gorgeous photography.

Raw Ti with painted other bits is how it should be done - be it fancy stuff like this example ^^ here, lairy forks, or a single accent colour like this Crisp, it just looks *so* right and still shows off the Ti.

    Love it.

The amount of detail work on that refinish/refresh is stunning. Do you still travel with the bike often? I find my travel bike is the most abused aesthetically of all my rides. I'd never be able to get over the packing damage that might occur to that $$$$$$ work. Do you use an alternative post/saddle/etc if traveling?

I will indeed be traveling with it though the first trip is yet to happen. I think patina is paints badge of honor. Bikes should be ridden.

Dream bike! How is the front bag - notice it having any effect on the handling?

After all it's been through (e.g. multiple D2R2s, etc) it still looks like new!! Looks great. I have some minor changes to my Evergreen. Will post a picture when my Bon Jon Passes arrive! ;)

By the way, the rear derailleur looks a bit different then the 9000 ... something new?
