Just picked up the steel frame that was on ebay last week. Should be here in the next couple of days and will complement the custom I have on the way later this year.

Pics snagged from the seller I purchased it from. S3 tubing, paragon PF30 and dropouts. Super stoked to get it built and rail on it a bunch.

Okay, I'm a huge fan of that decaling scheme. Since his logo is already instantly recognizable it works perfectly. That looks awesome.

The logo was actually painted on by spectrum and then the whole frame is just cleared.

Nice pick up...that frame is great looking. Almost bid...but slightly large for me. Enjoy and be sure to show some build pic. Paul builds a great bike. JT

The white tape got so filthy today I needed to replace it. I think I like this a lot better.

I really like these bikes and the whole ethos involved (hope that's the right word). Nothing flash or arty farty, frames made to ride and not masturbate over.

I still have to learn how to masturbate on the bike. Maybe some pros are able to do it.

new fendered road/gravel grinder. paul racer m brakes just because. old school stem to remind me of an old ibis from 1992. room for 28's with fenders and 33's without. build pictures to follow. a great experience to talk through the design. mike

finally was able to spend some time on the build. cane creek 110 headset, record drivetrain bits, cushy bar tape, yokozuno cables (hope for good things), paul racer m brakes, Thomson post, white industries and pacenti wide rims, 25 tires show a wiiide profile with these rims (28's to follow), honjo fenders to follow.

driveway test shows good things with proper rides scheduled for the weekend.

in fitting for the honjo fenders, I snapped the head off a bolt in the rear mount. it was threaded properly and came off with very little force. cutting a slot in it for screwdriver removal failed so I strapped on my big boy pants and carefully drilled a hole through the bolt without buggering up the threads. used an easy out removal tool and got the piece out no problem. the threads were chased and completely intact and with the exception of the slight paint damage I inflicted with the dremel, all is well. fenders to follow.

paul was a complete pleasure to work with and I anticipate another project in the future. thanks for the look. mikeDSC_0941.jpgDSC_0942.jpgDSC_0943.jpgDSC_0944.jpgDSC_0945.jpgDSC_0946.jpgDSC_0947.jpg

Looks awesome. Fill me in on the stem- is it custom or did you just have one painted at the same time? I'm trying to learn a little more about painted stems...

custom stem from paul. i didn't ask for any special length or angle just put my parts in the right place. the clamp parts are from paragon machine works i believe. as part of our conversation i knew i needed a cable stop for the racer brakes and remembered an older stem for a 1992 ibis. cool older design although it was a little tight with the cable routing. no extra resistance noticeable inn that short cable housing run. mike

My Deda tubeset arrived in Santa Cruz, Paul is impressed by it and work is most likely going to start next week. All of this is uber cool.
