What flavor of Rock Lobster do you have incoming? Agreed on the blue, that's a good looking bike!

I have another aluminum rim braked frameset coming. Paul built me one that I took delivery of last January and it's so good that I want to have a back up on hand should I ever need it, knowing the long lead times for custom these days. If I needed a frameset in a pinch I'd have a hard time finding something that wasn't disc braked.

Nice! Did Paul build the fork? I like the integrated hanger.

He did. He talks about it here:

It's almost built now with a very unconventional drivetrain. I call it halfkar.

For some reason, sometimes the address gets abbreviated when pasting it directly rather than creating a link.

Angry Scientist's fork on Paul Sadoff's Blog

You make gray flashy AS. No matchy-matchy tires though?

I'm fairly militant about Lobsters should generally be sea foam, but man this gray/pink logo combo is killer.

Nice work. I have a soft spot for bar end shifters. It looks like you are shifting a 10s MTB cassette(?). Is the shifter friction, or indexed?

How do you like the bike so far?

i've now got about 100 miles on the bike. it totally rips and exceeded my expectations for what my version of an all road gravel bike should be. A+. Shifter is in friction mode by the way

Also - there was some discussion on the interwebs about how alloy bikes with rim brakes are dead. I beg to differ :) Here are a few alloy rim braked stable mates.

Liking that no BS all-road goodness.^

I'm just about to rebuild my rim braked CAAD 9 with (mostly) 11s Campagnolo. It's not dead yet, and I miss it.

That lavender Zank is quite fetching.

What's the detail on that color?

No idea. I told Paul to make it grey and pink.

That's a fine stable of bicycles. Well done.
