I was just looking at Paul's website.
It made me think about how lucky we are to have builders like him.
He is a prolific builder and his bikes are SOOO custom!
I remember oogling over a custom Rock Lobster in the early 90's. It was a road bike for 650 wheels, wishbone rear end, and a dark blue to purple top to bottom fade with yellow decals-
For some reason that bike really did it for me.
Fast forward to 2018- He is still at it.

All my bikes are titanium or carbon at this point, but if I wanted a steel or aluminum rig it would be a Lobster!

Cool! Are those 700c wheels or 650b that are pictured?
Please tell us more about how that rear lamp fitting works.

Wheels are 650b, and it's not likely to see 700c in the near future. The rear lamp mount is actually one of my favorite bits on the whole bike. It looks kind of like a race number mount, a piece of aluminum with a hole in it. I did have to remove some material from the lamp itself to get the hole and bolt to line up appropriately. You can kind of see the mount in the image below:

Late last year I was riding with jdp and he told me about the brown. I tried my best to steer him in a different direction. I was wrong. I love it!

Thanks Jorn! Matt definitely wasn't alone in trying to convince me not to go with brown, glad I did though. Paul (and I guess his powder coat guy too) really nailed it with the color and metal flake.

Couple of changes now running a 36t 10sp rear cassette with Wolfstooth and 7700 9sp derailleur worked perfectly

Little known secret: Paul Sadoff builds custom TIG welded steel stems, too.

I wanted a stem with a custom +/- angle and liked the looks of the Paragon Machine Works stem parts. Even though stems are not offered on his web site, I'd seen pictures suggesting he could easily weld stems while juggling cats, so I asked and he was more than willing to build one for me.

The price was a silly cheap $160, shipped coast to coast, and delivery was only a few weeks. The weld beads were invisible, and there was no cat hair on the stem.

Three bonuses: He was able to match the color of my frame, the unexpected black faceplate complements my components, and included in the box was a pair of Rock Lobster socks!

Paul built this for me earlier this year.

I asked him to make a go-fast steel CX race bike that fit 40's and had braze-ons for a lightweight commuting rack. He nailed it. This could be my N=1 bike if I believed in that sort of nonsense.
