Yes, the traditional diameter looks great with the skinny tubing. I have a 31.8mm 3T Rotundo bars which has nearly an identical profile but the 26mm diameter looks better matched for this frame.

i feel ya' on the how-it-looks stuff but one thing i never got about it
pertaining to 'bars is that the only difference at all is in the untaped
area. the rest is still 26.0mm no matter. for me, the stem shape is what
drives the visual. noel, is there an alt group i can subscribe to, or is my
    fetish pretty mainstream atmo?

just wondering, but do you do solo or long rides with tubular tires and rims or are these race/pictures only?

i don't understand how so many here ride tubular wheels without a chase car- unless it's a saturday race wheel set.

Let's hear it from the man himself - how come Oval components? You can get Deda, Nitto and others in 26 readily. Oval seems so... pedestrian for a Sachs-caliber rig but 7 times out of 10, all I see are Oval components.

dude- how many tubes do you carry? tubulars don't pinch flat and on a long solo ride i've always got a spare, a cell phone and my charming good looks to get me home. it really isn't tough to understand.

riding on crappy new england roads, the guys rolling tubulars around here get a lot less flats than the guys on clinchers.

Cause you only have so many miles in your body, and you should ride them all on tubulars. And at one time there were no good clinchers. Are there now?
