    Default Green with Envy

Finally got all the parts together to build this one up. Enjoy having Richard's work join the decade old Llewellyn in my collection.

The Llewellyn has just come back from Darrell in Australia following a refresh and repaint and is being built up by Tommy at Cutlass Velo (all class!).

Question for those with a Sachs with head lug cable stops: What type of adjusting barrels fit & work best?

    Merci in advance.

Richie supplies these with his frames in addition to the Cane Creek headset, already fitted prior to shipping. I don't know if they work best, but they certainly work for me.

    Service, first and foremost!

Paragon Machine Works makes them in stainless steel and brass. I order several hundred of the former once each year. The frames leave here with a pair installed.

A few more shots of this stunning machine after a little more time on the roads. Still sorting out spacers and cutting down the fork, but it'll get there.

Excellent, I love to see bar end shifters on road bikes being used still. More photographs please.

I'm stoked to get to post my own bike in this thread. I usually have a rule about never doing a long ride for the first outing so I have time to dial things in. I was too excited to ride the new Sachs, though, so I threw caution to the wind and took it on the team ride, a 115 group hammer fest. These almost show the shade of purple. Ignore the dirt and grime.

Why?! Aside from the purple, that’s the best bit!

14 likes and counting tells you how much love there is for this bike here. I’m currently wearing a bib to catch the drool whilst I try to stop looking…

    Matthew,

    That bike looks fantastic.

I've never seen split stop cabling for a road bike on top of the top tube before. What's the reason behind that?
