Default Raleigh Team 1980 and Raleigh Professional 1978

I was just cleaning up my bikes and thought i would share my two raleighs when the heavy steel lugged frame ruled. they are great down hill bikes :) both are NOS. I always wanted the PRO when I saw it in 1976 at a bike shop where I lived in Missouri. They were $1000 in 1976 and I was only out of school making 15k per year. i got this one several years ago on eBay.

You sure about the blue one? I was thinking full Campy for $600 in 1976. the red one in 78 for $750. Got my 753 team from Michales in Iowa with full Campy in 1982 for well under a grand and it had a number plate holder on it too.

I have owned them for about 5 years . The blue one was NOS on ebay and the red one was a frame I got and put NOS parts on it. As far as the price on the Professional, I remember a "record ace " with no campy was about mid 200s and the Professional was closer to that 1k number. I looked at buying it for about 6 months and settled on the Record Ace which lasted about 1 year before I sold it and bought a Puch with all shimano 600 parts. Green in color and nice bike. I also have the red and yellow wheels covers that were prevalent at the time. thanks for looking .
