    Default Pinarello

Here is the Pinarello Marvel I picked up on Bonktown. Went for a two hour ride yesterday with a little climbing and a little descending. This bike is proper, as they say. No nonsense, stiff, and fun to ride so far. More later.

    54. It has a ST angle that is a bit steeper than I like with my freakishly long setback, so it fits a little bigger than the 54.7 tt length, but I really like the way it handles with a 120 stem. $600 for that? I was trying to find a Caad 9, contemplating dropping $800 to have a shop order me one, and then Bonktown came through big time.

That's way cooler than a Cannondale. What does the frame measure center to top?

Very nice, goldyjackson! I can't believe that that is the first Pinarello in the gallery. Here is one that I used to own:

a little under 57 cm. It is supposed to be 54 c-c ST, but it's closer to 53 c-c. The TT is definitely 54.7.

I found it hard to believe, too, that no one else had posted a pinarello. What gives? Hey HC, nice post on that bike!

Who's currently producing a nice silver non-threaded stem and post besides Thomson?

E-Z off oven cleaner. The de-blackenator.

    also- that bike rules.
Also- you can pick up NOS Cinelli stuff if you look around. The distributor BTI should still have stems and bars. A myriad of silver posts are available. I've been told that the ones from Velo Orange are quite nice.

Last night, I learned what is meant by lateral stiffness at the bottom of a full speed descent into a 90 degree turn.

    thanks for the info, mickey

Wow, that is such a great package! Campy wheels don't get a lot of love in these parts, but they are phenomenal. That has got to have the jerk seal of approval in every respect.

The dogma is incredible. I test rode one last week. Ride was sublime. A little too spendy though.
