I agree with you on the bars. Thier first rate along with their flat monutain bars.

Here's a little update on a project I helped a buddy of mine finish, after those Time cranks went kaput.

I bought the stuff for him (he doesn't use computers much, so he asked me to find the misc. items), and he had the cranks stripped and clear coated by a local guy in SoCal. They came out really nice. While at it, he also had the stem stripped and clear coated, but I forgot to take a picture of that.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but you get the idea....

The tips of the SRAM spider are just the tiniest bit skinnier than Shimano, so there's a mm or 2 of overlap at the chainring mounting point, but all in all, it's a nice looking setup. He wanted something different, that's all.

This is mounted to a Superfly Cycles Enduro ceramic BB on this Parlee Z3, by the way.

Here is my new ride. For me this has been the holy grail. It is light, fast, and stiff enough. I won't go on as a picture is worth......

    funny...
Tom at Parlee sent me some pictures he took when my frame was in process,
i'm about 99% sure these build process photos in this story are of my frame.

    very cool.

that'd be a fun place to visit and just watch things get made.

i'd sit back and do that all day, no problemo. a good sandwich, snacks and some beers, comfy chair....heaven.

    Mr. Salo K,

That is a fine looking machine. The pics are from Tour magazine I see. Did they do a review of your bike? Of Parlee? What did they have to say? BTW, who makes their forks?

Have fun! It looks like a great ride!

Thanks , my Parlees are great rides .

The Tour magazine forum cycling gallery is same like the Vsalon gallery here , members show their bikes , and discuss about bikes , components etc , that`s it.

The forks at the Parlee Z1 is a Reynolds UL , and the forks at the Parlee Z3 is an Edge 1.0
