Very nice.. the more I ride other bikes, the more I appreciate my Z3, so much so that I will probably be selling something pretty soon.

    Enjoy that smooth Parlee ride,

Perhaps (a) I'm seeing something wrong, (b) this headtube is unique, or (c) something else, but it looks like your headset isn't properly pressed.

These Parlees are awesome. Makes me think about my next bike already, after a Gaulzetti, a Zank cross bike, a Crumpton, Kirk.....

The wealth of incredible bikes makes me sick. This is the golden age of bike building I think.

Parlees have aluminum inserts glued into the top and bottom of the carbon head tube.

That tape is supposed to be wrapped the other way, so that it looks like a black and blue barber pole. I'm surprised he was able to get so little to show! he was probably cursing me the whole time. Notice that he wrapped the tape antiFluxwise. I've never had a problem with that, personally.

Tom at Parlee explained to me why they did that and it made perfect sense when he explained it, but if I tried to repeat it I couldn't do it justice.

It's actually the long-since-discontinued Reynolds Ouzo Pro "round" 'bar, which has round tops but an anatomic-ish or semi-compact bend. It has a little more reach and drop than typical compact 'bars (FSA, EC90 SLX, etc.). I like it because the hook has a tighter radius than a true round 'bar, but doesn't have the kink typical of anatomic 'bars. The 3T bar has a tiny bit more reach (5mm) and less drop (14mm less). If I didn't have 6 of them, I'd try the 3T Ergosum for the very reasons Grant described. You can still find the Ouzo Pro 'bar here and there, and I think that the Edge 'bar has a similar shape (which may or may not be coincidental).

I think I saw that Sportsmobile on HWY 120 headed back from Yosemite today.

BTW, that is a sick bike!

Nice shot. Looking south from the bridge connecting the MLK Drive with the BF Parkway across from the Art Museum?

    Default Z4 - Orange Decals

Finally registered after lurking for a while. Here is a shot of my recently completed Z4. Our team colors are orange-white-black so I went a little nuts with the orange bits. It'll become more black over time.
