I hear you; and I could see myself doing the same - *if* I am able to convince myself to keep mine... I think I'd end up just refreshing the same finish to be honest, or perhaps just changing the logos to a more subtle silver, grey or black.
Point blank. I'd find that fairly convincing.

Have you thought about burgundy for the logos? I'm here all week

Oh I still intend to keep mine - with this geo I'd struggle to sell it anyway; and I reckon this ins one bike I would definitely regret letting go (there are *very* few of them out of the 47 I have moved on, believe me).

Burgundy. Hmmm. At least you didn't call it 'Marone' (as you Aussies refer to Maroon)... ;)

Burgundy/Bourbon Virtually the same. I can see how someone could get those mixed up! I don't want you thinking I was putting thought into meaningful suggestions...

I honestly don't know where you'd even start trying to buy a gun. I suppose I could ask my son to make a slingshot. Not the same...but it would really hurt!

Ha! Well, in fairness a significant percentage of the forum have comparatively easy access to guns, but thankfully there'll be no need for that (or a slingshot) for some time yet!

Current lairy bar tape setup; and the Falz fork doing its own 'carbon weave in the sunlight' magic:

    Rich,

I think it's pretty obvious that you keep buying bikes that are a couple of sizes too small. My wife on the other hand, thinks that you are buying bikes that are too big. And a bit same same. They are all racing type road bikes.

She thinks you should expand your horizons: Road+ Frames - Black Mountain Cycles.

She thinks you'd probably like it best in the Golden Lime. In size 50. As she says, "if it's too small for him, he'll probably just sell it, but a small frame will help him look Pro". She's pretty certain that's the size you want though. And if you think you'll be selling it as a complete, you'll want a 170mm crank too...

It’d fit you nicely with a 140mm stem, Colin! And tell your wife I’m already running 170mm cranks...

Yes, for anyone who hasn’t seen, and true to form, “the one I’m never selling” is for sale: FS: Parlee Z1 SL Frameset (+2 forks) - mostly a case of ‘needs must’ (especially as my Time isn’t selling), but also hoping I’ll be able to retain most of the proceeds long enough to put them towards the new carbon Gaulzetti...

New Enve fork, a better match than what was on there when I bought the frame ( see previous pictures).

That looks sharp! After all these years (wasn't the first prototype of the Z1 introduced in 2000?), the Z1 is still one of the most elegant and timeless carbon frames ever made.
