    #rainbike, where are the #mudguards?

Also, are you sure that thing's safe? It doesn't have disc brakes

I should have used my preferred #miamirainbike. Nobody here uses mudguards. When it rains it pours so you're getting drenched no matter what. And it's definitely not safe without discs. Most of my riding is just looking for a soft spot to land.

I suppose the roads in Miami aren't covered in cowshit............I wish I could say the same about the Cheshire lanes

Latest tape (MFS Space Tape, asymmetrically wrapped); and the DT Swiss PR1400s with tan walls on for their review:

    ESX, Z5 and Z1 CX.

15.6lbs, 14.4lbs and 16.5lbs respectively (if you're into that thing).

They're each lovely, lovely bikes, but the ESX is something special...

Damn. I'm such a fan of the Z5. How does the ESX compare?

A very rad herd indeed. Ever think about branching out, though?

So the Z5 is the nicest ride, it feels so well damped like it's got suspension but it's stiff and accelerates so easily. But the ESX is so fast. I live in the flat lands of Savannah, GA and its just perfect for here. Very comfortable for an aero bike (28mm tire on the rear!) and climbs just fine but it just gives you free speed everywhere. The Z5 feels fast, but every time I look at the Garmin I'm 3mph down on what I'm used to with the ESX. And eTap is most excellent.

Zambenini - I must have had over 30 bikes and been lucky enough to have owned some lovely frames over the years (Baum, Serotta, Cyfac, Colnago, Look, Time, Litespeed, Lynskey, etc. etc.) but can safely say I'm fully resolved with the 3 bikes I've got (for now!). Parlee just make frames that really suit me!

    Now running Super Record mechanical:

Currently still on the Record cranks and brakes from the EPS setup, but I have the Rotor 3D+ cranks I was running previously and a set of EE Brakes going on - hopefully this week.

Gotta say, after almost 2yrs on electronic groupsets, there's something about a mechanical drive train that makes a bike feel much more 'proper' - not to mention how much more satisfying it is to get a mechanical drivetrain shifting perfectly. Most enjoyable.

New Parlee Altum Disc LE landed today for review. I wasn't expecting the new 'LE' version - that's their new 'if you want custom paint this is the one you buy' model. I like what they did with it:
