Default Our Time Trial Bikes Go Here

Built by Ves Manderic in CA in 2003. I raced it in my first time trial and first ironman triathlon. It's a really good bike, even though I'm not very good at taking pictures.

Here's my Leader. Built up for super cheap and looks like it, but it get me 90% of the way. I'll probably sell the wheels in the near future to fund a Renn disc. Since this photo, the saddle and seatpost have been changed and the bars have been taped.

Default Ves builds a great bike.

Did you visit him in person to measurements, or did you do it remotely? I had the good fortune to visit him once, accompanying a friend who was interested in having a Yaqui made, and Ves was kind enough to walk us through his entire process, from measurement to design to construction to paint to build.

No, my Yaqui is a stock 55cm. I've never met Ves, but he was good to work with over the phone. I respect him because he's one of the "my way or the highway" builders who has definite ideas about how bikes should fit and be ridden, and won't cave on those ideas just to make a sale. Definitely one of the low key builders who makes really nice bikes.

    Default Planet X

An economy build as well, relatively speaking. These are excellent frames for the money. I have no excuses with the bike for any performance problems.

I think I could take TT's head tube and use it for a seat tube on a frame and I'm 5'9".:-)

impressive. Imagine its tough getting of the peg frames. How does a TI bike that size feel? is it stiff enough?

Building a stiff Ti bike is not a problem. This one is custom and the "ugly" was thrown in for free :frown: All kidding aside it's a great performing bike and is it stiff enough??? Well, when I do flying 200s on the track the bike is solid as a rock into and out of turn 3/4. If the bike had a weakness it surely would be evident.

All that aside, I've got a Serotta Ti Legend that rides like a brick.

Chuck Norris is expected to win gold in every swimming competition at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, even though Chuck Norris does not swim. This is because when Chuck Norris enters the water, the water gets out of his way and Chuck Norris simply walks across the pool floor.

That bike just scares the crap out of me. It screams "my owner with destroy you". Don't even think about it.

I think I can ride my bike inside the main triangle.

I remember you from the Gwinnett Bike Fest tt. I was the other young dude on the P3 with lightweights at the tt and then I spoke with you at the start of the race at road atlanta.
