Yeah, and Van Halen thought they could thrive without David Lee Roth too.

Ride up Randall so you can decide to change your gearing straight away.

Probably won't be able to ride until sometime in November. The doc will check me out on Nov 3rd. If I ride up Randall I'll change my gears for sure!

No, it's because all shots should be done on the drive side.

I had a 12-28 on my Indy Fab and switched to an 11-32 this spring for Ballers. I don't know the terrain in California but I doubt you'll be sorry if you get a 32. I know I was really, really happy to have it.

But you'll have to be careful not to make a big-big shift or ride small-small without the long arm derailleur. It will work but the extreme shifts could cause damage. Mine is a standard derailleur and in all but the extreme of the range it works like a champ.

    Fantastic bike!

Thanks for the advice. I have a spare 11/32 cog . I really didn't need it in the past except on some crazy stuff.

Upon further inspection I see that you used the Shimano 685 levers instead of Di2. Nice! That's the direction I may go with my Indy Fab at some point. Did they set up OK? Any issues? Also, it appears you have XTR brakes. Is there any difference between them and the 685/785 calipers?

Just curious. I'm really liking your bike!

I was glad to have my 32 as soon as we hit the first unpaved climb at Ballers. I was so happy to be able to keep spinning instead of grinding it out at 45 RPM or less.

Yes, I definitely need to train more!
