    my 1986 mecacycle turbo
    not period correct at all but i have never down tube shifted and don't want to start just yet. but i have the matching 3ttt mecacycle bars for when that day comes. campy 9 speed, mavic cranks and headset. need a bottle cage and proper 9 speed rear derauiller ( using a 10 speed at the moment.)
    wheelbase is as short as my san rensho track bike

    and here is the bars it should have on it, if anybody has any Modolo Kronos brakes or levers let me know

    Wow, never heard of this one before.

    Kind of has a Rigi thing going for it with that split seat tube.

    Can you comment on the history, builder...?

    dont know that much really

    mecacycles were ridden by the columbian national team in the 1984 tour de france

    they were only made for a couple years i believe

    Pretty cool. I've never seen a split seat tube like that. That's one to hang on to, just for conversation.

    slight update. Put the bars on finally. Very comfortable.
    also added topline cranks, modolo kronos brake levers and campy 10 bar end shifters converted to 9 spd indexing
