    Thanks Anne.
It sounds like you're getting through some rough spots in life. As we would say in my little Caribbean corner of the world "juedza".
People like you are inspiring to say the least. I wish I had half your guts.
My ideal reach is somewhere around 54.0 cm, and my saddle height is 68.5 cm. Sounds like I'm far more stretched than you, unless there is substantial differences in our body proportions. Might be, I'm male and 52.
I love my 26 bikes, but seeing my friends on 29ers makes me wonder if the rocky trails I prefer would be more manageable. I'm a decent rider from a technical standpoint, but sometimes it seems like their rigs make a difference.
But I guess in the end it doesn't really matter, does it? We're all just out there squeezing what we can out of a day.
    Again thanks.
    un abrazo,
    Henrique Tono

Just realized I never replied here. Thanks.
re reach: Often guys of similar height will have a bit more torso length than a gal. So that may be the add'l reach for you. I certainly find that a 29er is an easier ride on rocky trails than a 26. I've also watched riders who struggled with some terrain on 26" learn to ride it on 29", they become more comfortable navigating things. It's fun to watch that rider come back weeks later and clean the same sections on their 26" bikes. Improved confidence perhaps?

Was able to get out on the 650B this past week and am really enjoying it. Think it's going to be a good match for my riding style and the terrain I spend the most time on.

Only got a couple rides in on it before life intervened.
So far it is addressing the two main challenges I have with the 29er: repeated accelerations and negotiating tight twisty singletrack.
Looking forward to getting in more hours on it.
That 650b is a beut! Congrats.

Thanks. I was out on it yesterday and am really enjoying it. Glad I decided to give 650B a try. Haven't been on the other bike since.

Nebeljäger, where do you live? And can you help me get a job there?
I lived in Konstanz and in Basel for a few years, and those pictures fill me with nostalgia.

first, sorry about my bad english, i'm working on it!

    @SpeedyChix
i love your 650b!! Great Rig!!

    slightly beneath Norway....

(East)Switzerland, near the Austrian Border. Hidden under the Fog there is the Rhine Valley. Maybe JBLANDE knows this place.
A real nice place to stay, good Food, maybe one of the best Burgundy Wine nearby, and a lot of Trails...

The right place for an Eriksen...

Katie, Kent you have done a great Job!!

    Ha! I'm a city boy.

I am living about 4 or 5 hrs away. For 6 more weeks. Why didn't I visit this beautiful place while I was living in Europe? Why?!

I stole a bunch of ideas for my new ride from these forums. Figured I'd pay it back with some pics.
