Back on it after a trip abroad. One hour spin.
Lowered the saddle by about 2mm and ready to start putting some real miles in.

Lunchtime ride with the road wheels on it.
If this thing could talk, it'd say, "Let's drive to Bourne and ride the length of Cape Cod, stopping for every lobster roll along the way."

Vanity question for the peanut gallery: Eriksen ti seat post; yay or nay? And if so, orange hardware (match the mango headset?), or blue to match the brakes and saddle?

Mango saddle, bar tape and pedals. Keep seatpost.

The Soma ‘Thick & Zesty’ tape in orange chrome would have looked awesome, but it looks like they no longer produce it. I bet Guee have a tape that’d suit (and it’s nice stuff too).

An Eriksen Sweetpost wouldn’t look bad at all; but I agree with Jorn in keeping the Fizik post.

I’d go with a mango seat collar & skewers.

Nay. Keep the Fizik post. No drama. It works with the bars, stem and tape and best of all, itís paid for.

Good stuff. Not gonna overthink it. Maybe different tape when the current one wears out.

i think an orange seatpost collar to match the headset would tie it all together.

    Hi, first post (longtime lurker).

This one I had built in 2004, raced it a bunch, then decided to see how long the chain would last (a long time! sharkfin chainrings!), parked it for a few years, and just now refreshed. Took it out today for its first ride back.

I love the silence of a new bike!

Here's an IF that I rescued this year. I'd love to know the backstory on how it ended up in such a state.

It's from '99 and in great shape. No paint chips. The wheels have very little rim wear and only required a few touches with the spoke wrench and repacking the hubs.

Turns out the stock size 53 x 53 ain't too bad for my son. I'm glad I stumbled on the Soma bars so I could use a classy stem.

    Before & after:

Where are you supposed to put your hands in the “before” picture?

In retrospect, I should have given "the before" a whirl. Opportunity only knocks once.

Inspired by Mattís, I got mine back rolling drop bar and with some fresh rubber. Glad I did. These things are so awesome.
