Red bikes go faster. It's a scientifically proven fact. I think...

Hi - there, and thanks. I haven't quite finished the build yet as you can see, but thought I would grab a very quick picture or two. They are Corsa G 28's on there and its much tighter at the back than the front. Still probably got a good 5mm gap either side at the back (and lots of fore/aft room) and acres at the front. I'm now wondering if maybe I could get 32's and the wider PDW fenders on it, although I originally spec'd it for 25-28 tyres (with the narrower fenders) as its intended use will be a winter/road/rain bike for the most part.

However as the geo is fully custom you could ask they IF guys for whatever you need.

A rare day indeed when this bike sees its natural environment. It's far dirtier than it looks. Ti hides grime and mud very well. Oh, and I want some 40-45mm tires and it ought to fit them.

IF Crown Jewel - still probably my favourite bike, despite having some intensified competition these days.

    Chrisn,
What rear wheel do you have on your single speed ? Hand built ?

Hi Christo, it is hand built: Archetype rim to White Industries Eno Eccentric hub - 135 spacing. It's not a disc hub, but is standard threaded for fixed cog on one side and takes WI's own fixed cogs on the other side.

Front hub is a Hope Pro 2 or 3 (I can't remember!) disc hub. 32 spokes front and back, DT Swiss silver J bend spokes (I can check exactly which if you need the info)

Anyway, the Eccentric Eno hub at the back is a great way of converting a regular frame with horizontal dropouts for single speed / fixed setup. You can get them in 130 or 135 spacing in black or silver if you hunt around.

    OK thanks
For now I use a chain tensioner on a road bike converted to single speed and I plan to remove this ugly thing and change wheels. They will be close to yours. Thanks for your answers :-)

No problem, I'd also recommend using a half link chain if you're not already. This reduces the amount of slack you'd need to take up once you've joined the chain with the optimum amount of links.

If you go back to page 54 on this link you'll see my blue Crown Jewel set up the same way using a 130 spaced Eno hub on Open Pro rims. http://www.velocipedesalon.com/forum...tml#post686497

There's a new offering on the IF Store at the moment, if stock 56cm is your thing - open choice on colour too.

Added a an IF to my life again and super happy. Great bike, 29er SS/Geared set up as a 1 X 10 and is just as smooth as can be. Subtle graphics that will get some colored bits someday, but I don't care it is just a blast to ride!
