Agreed. Tall bikes especially look better with Fulcrum/Campagnolo wheels. And I am betting they work better too. Adding 300g with a H+Son rear wheel certainly isn't improving things.

I think it looks racier with the Fulcrums, but the TB14s suit it *really* well. I'm a sucker for shallow rimmed handbuilts on a horizontal TT'd frame though.

This is the real purpose of my Indy Fab. It's an all-weather bike. When I was chosen in the raffle at the Raid Rockingham a few years back the bike awarded was a new model, the Gravel Royale. While it excels on loose surfaces, the bike I envisioned was one I always wanted, especially when I lived in rainy Switzerland in the 1990s. I thought disc brakes were cool the second I saw them and ideally suited to rainy situations where rim brakes wear out rims and pads at an alarming rate and where braking performance was bad and it sounded awful. Also, I wanted a Ti bike so it wouldn't rust in the wet.

It's got room for bigger fenders and bigger, studded tires in the future. For now it's regular road tires and narrow fenders.

This is that bike. This is a winter that is warmer than the past two, by far. I couldn't ride it in the adverse conditions much the last two years because it was just too freaking cold. This year it's just wet all the time. So I threw on the fenders and off I'll go this afternoon for a couple hours of wet, filthy fun.

Not a thief, but I'd snag that in a hot second if I found it left at the coffee shop. Damn that's nice

Here is my late 2007 build with a new groupset on it. I love the straight edge graphics which I don't think they are offering any longer.

Colour matched transportation, both now need a clean up. First ride out on the Crown Jewel since last Autumn, UK roads not as dry as I'd hoped, but keen to try out the Cambium C13. So far so good, as comfy as the C15 but without the squeaking sound effects...

Posting these to pass the time - counting down to the arrival of the Gravel Royale. Still getting on well with the C13 saddle - it certainly doesn't disappear underneath me (no saddle ever has!) but is a nice place to be. Quite angle critical I would say to ensure you are cradled perfectly though.

IF Crown Jewel owners. This came up for sale locally for $2200. Hows the price? I'm guessing this is a 2004-7 range? Looks clean.

Full Shimano Ultegra, 10 speed rear cassette, FSA cranks with 50/34 front chainrings, Karbon Lite water bottle cages, Thompson seatpost, Easton carbon bar, FAS headset, and ITM stem. Mavix Ksyrium rims, Conti GP 4000 tires, SKS lightweight fenders.

If that's steel, it seems a bit steep, but if you like all the parts on it and would ride it as is, then it's not a crazy amount of money.
Steel CJs seem to sell for right around $1000 for frame/fork, so factor that in versus what you think you'd pay for your preferred group/contact points, and wheels (or whether you have them on the shelf or on another bike to swap from.)

That's a good looking frame, and would look even better with a matching group, and a different bar/stem/post/saddle setup.

+1 on Matt's advice. $1500-1750 seems like a good starting bid, depending on whether the bike actually has as little wear on it as it appears from the photo. Based on the fenders, it may have been used for commuting in all weather, so you'd want to "kick the tires" a bit to see what's up wear-wise.
