I like it so far. There are some quirks to it- and I hate the lefty specific wheel thing....but there is something to the way it tracks- I am not entirely sure what that is about the fork that makes it work well but it does.

No plans on selling it any time soon...which is sort of like my seal of approval.

How is your hand? We should ride soon- I am away starting tomorrow for 2 weeks but after that....

Not often you see a builder on another brand of bike.
Lending a bike to a friend is doing good. Lending that bike to that friend is doing double good.

Nah- he is so enthusiastic about the mtb riding (and good) that I want to be a part of that.

Ezra is a good man in so many regards- I am better for knowing him... I say that with the utmost sincerity.

    For the record:
I would lend you a bike if you were a bunch shorter- I want more people to find religion of the fat tire.

Thanks! If I ever started riding mountain bikes again, I think I would be likely to end up shorter. I tend to mis-remember gravity.

That looks great. I like that era of Campagnolo factory-built wheels. Nucleons, Electrons, Protons, etc. Look really classy on just about any bike build.

Greg LeMond on an IF from Bicycle Escape (Frederick, MD) at one of their events a while back. Popped up in my Flickr contacts. Never visited but seems like a nice shop. Mr. LeMond looks like he still knows what he's doing. He keeps getting better in the rear view mirror.

Holly crap, this is Greg Lemond... jeez. I rode in the same sportive as Benard Hinault recently and he would kick his fat ass up Alp d'Huez today.

BTW always loved Lemond, just saying.

I dunno. Legs and arms look like he's been doing something. Maybe a little round in the middle, but I've seen round guys who can roll it out. Still got the same position on the bike though. Nice to see him smiling mainly.

Yeah - he's smiling, and that's all good. He is a big dude, according to those arms...

Whats the story with the IF? Looks small, maybe not his bike.

I saw him jump on a bike at T town a few yrs. back. No question that guy was born to ride. Awesome.

Short note exchange only with the Bicycle Escape guy who runs the bike shop, but I think it must be one of their loaners/test ride models. He said Greg LeMond was nothing but pleasant. The shop offers Moots, Quiring and Yipsan customs as well as IF, so they seem like an interesting place. Here are more photos of Monsieur LeMond. He definitely looks like he's enjoying himself.

    Must be the bike.
