Something to ponder...Is it really an imperfection if it's part of the design?

and I thought I was the only one who wondered that...regardless, the crown stencil on my painted to match OP45 is the cherry on top of my 953 SSR SEC

At first glance it looked like a little man with a bulbous nose looking back at me, I had to try to see the crown. A little touch of whimsy is a nice thing.

They face that way so that when you put your head down and drill it at the front you have your crown on :)

Don't get me wrong, those are all absolutely beautiful. I first saw an IF in a shop about 9 years ago and loved them, especially for the paint and details they put into them. I guess I also have a soft spot for any bikes from New England. I'll have a titanium IF for the stable someday.

Finished. Noticeably light, and I am not even trying with the parts. I have been swinging with two bats for a while.

I definitely like the official IF no-logo option. But maybe I should add one of these somewhere?

Yellow seems like a bad colour, but that IF looks so right! Enjoy that beauty...

I don't know that I've ever seen an IF with a horizontal top tube that looked bad.

Thanks! I am glad I was able to show you something new!

The color came with the frame for free. The frame is used and I got a good deal on it. Other than a few of the usual chips here and there, it is in excellent condition. But I could give a rat's ass what it looks like as long as it rides right. And it does. Yay for me.

I may have been unclear: your bike looks great. Level top tubes have a strong tendency to look great.

"Great" is a gracious appraisal. Thanks again. I share your opinion of level top tube IFs. This frame's measurements happened to be very close to what Signature sketched out during a fit a while back. I thought this would be a good way to take a test drive. So far it feels like it was made for me or nearly so. The geometry is a bit more laid back than I am used to, but I am not sure that is a bad thing. It goes where I point it and with very little need for correction.

nice looking build up, have always liked the look of IFs, though do us a favour cut your front n rear dera cables a touch shorter then would be perfect. ;)

You mean the ends? I leave them long until the cables stretch and tune is dialed in, then snip them shorter.

I like the lack of decals. My IF Deluxe only has the head tube & Made in Somerville decals.

Here's a video about IF that was recently produced for New Hampshire Chronicle.

Nice video. Without the labels I catch other riders trying to figure out what kind of bike it is. Usually means there is at least a brief conversation which wouldn't have happened if there was a big obvious label. That's kind of cool.

And the color is starting to grow on me.

Lent the geared sister to the cat behind Fast Boy-Nothing but praise for the bike.

Not often you see a builder on another brand of bike.
