this is a replica of the somerville built SEC i purchased in 2009 and wish i never sold. for me personally, it sucks that so much polemics have happened since then.

i'm from new england and love IF; always have.

    here is my new bike.

    thank you.

it's an SEC so it has an ENVE rear monostay which was painted to match the ENVE fork.

standard head tube and bottom brakcet.

built it with chorus and some custom, low-profile, carbon, tubular wheels with 27s fitted. would have put green vittoria 27s on but they were out of stock.

perfect for the rapha ride this weekend and D2R2 later this summer.

smashed it to bits last weekend on saturday then again on sunday at the raid rockingham. fun weekend.

I noticed last week that the twitter said it was going to Justin but, I was still curious to see if it was a personal bike or a customer bike. Looks like I got my answer. It looks great Justin.

Speaking of Crown Jewel SECs, here's mine from 2007 (not the best photo, but the only one I have of the beast!):

I bought it from Belmont Wheelworks as a complete bike. I believe it was a 2005 leftover. I updated the seat post, stem and handlebars soon after I got it. It was a fantastic bike, I must admit. I sold this in 2008 to order a IF Titanium Crown Jewel.

Proof that dreams do come true occasionally on eBay, I sold the Ti Planet X frame below to a happy new IF rider in Vancouver. These pics don't do the grassroots team paint justice but the report back was "awesome ride" and that's all that matters eh!

New to me. A 2006 Factory Lightweight in taxi cab yellow, appropriate perhaps given where I live. Parts are from the parts box & just on for measurements. Without riding it yet, the frame is amazing. Feels like it is filled with helium. I am easy to impress though. This is my first bike made in the current millennia.

It was a pleasure working with Jesse on the frame design. Gary loved my build and surprised me with these professional studio pics. Chapeau all around to the gang at IF. After her maiden voyage the frame looks even better with a patina of dust so I promise some filthy pics this fall.

Just out of curiosity, why does IF put the crown decals on upside down on the fork?

Wow, who built the wheels for you, Justin? (just kidding!)

Gorgeous bike and great wheels. What rims did you use?

I don't know the official answer but the fabrication and build is tight; fucking it up a bit at the very end usually produces beautiful results.

In a Navajo rug there is always an imperfection woven into the corner. And interestingly enough, it's where "the Spirit moves in and out of the rug."

You either incorporate imperfection, or you fall into d'Nile ;)
