That's a great looking frame. I have a question regarding the surface prep that IF uses. How do you keep it clean? I understand that naked Ti requires wiping frequently, but the "rough" surface of the blast just seems like more places for grime to hide.

Lemon Pledge is the secret to keeping bead-blasted ti clean. Not sure how it works on a shot-peened finish.

use a pumice liquid soap with a little bit of grit to it. Put it in your hands and rub it into your frame. Hose off and it gets the dirt out nicely with out messing stuff up. Be super careful on the decals, best to use regular soap on those.

    should sparkle when your done.

New ones are in the works. PM me with an addy and I'll send you something from my private stash of IF swaganalia.

No worries Gary....I appreciate the offer, but my post wasn't intended to be an indirect request for any freebies. I am happy to buy a couple beer glasses though when they are ready.

    Thanks!

Dear Prez, the MTB needs to get dirty. Allow me to give it a proper thrashing.

    Awesome bikes!

So uh, and I mean this with the utmost respect, are you going to actually ride them? How about tomorrow? Group ride rolling out not too far from your abode.

What size ring are you running on the front of the CX? Looks healthy.

    No you don't.

you bet I am riding them. want to be ready for the end of June event in Pisgah and then continue to work hard for next OVCX season.

Just a road set up for now. Will get a cheaper crankset for racing. Have asked around and cannot find a 11spd cross size chain ring. Will try a 10spd one as I hear that works. figure ride it on the road...just use the road ring set up.

Default SSR almost ready to go

UPS delivered the fork painted and stenciled yesterday - who says OP's can't be all dolled up?
Note some of the "white" is actually reflection on the fork edge, not a mistake in the stencil (which I directly plagarized from this XS)
    Build is finally imminent

pdmtong -- Love the fork! BTW, what kind of fork is this? Looks like it might be a Reynolds. Did IF paint this?

I love the crown stencil. I wish I had done that on the lightweight,

It is about time you built that up. Has it been six months?

I know I know I know. Finally though, the cherry on top.
Words just can't describe how well it is all tied together now.

Should I look for a used nogaru A4 next? (er, S4 per jtferraro)

actually, the day you and I first talked the raiders beat the first place eagles, which around here, in terms of raider wins, is more like six eons ago.....

Very nice indeed! Looking forward to seeing it all built up now.
