I'm not going this far because I am sure Steve has forgotten way more about bike geometry that I will ever know.
But it seems odd that you would design a bike at 72 degrees seat angle and put a zero setback post on it?

One more time gang and it's the last I'll comment on seat post. See below.

I imagine that post is used to position me in the proper place between the wheels and make the best of my funky geometry. I have very long legs for my height. I'm always amazed Steve could design a frame that doesn't look odd considering the saddle height is 80.5cm. Top tube is 57 cm with STA of 72d.

I could be way off base here, but I think the comment referred to in post #1159 is about the use of the Lone Star beer can...not any seat post preference or STA comment...

I was referring to the beer can of course, as if anyone would discuss seat post design in an internet forum, come on...

I was gonna ask where that ti stem is from. Very nice.

I also dig Isis cages on a ti bike.

The stem is from Firefly with final finish by Hampsten. Steve matched the stem and seat post finish with the frame finish.

Yes, the King Iris cages are awesome.

nm. kohlboto beat me to the answer.

Instead, I'll post another useless comment.. Nice on the refresh. It's like an old-new bike. Familiar but not

Since some of you have asked for comparison, and even though it may be against my better judgement (sorta like showing pictures of yourself in jr high) here's the SBTi before and after.

It is my good fortune/curse that Steve's geo is more or less identical to mine. There is a grey and red lugged beauty coming my way very soon.

Pics you want? (Well, one actually… it got dark and had to resort to the couch)

Way overdue but finally built! I had some delay due to two(!) sealed but incomplete Campy cable sets…

Neutrons and Veloflex 22mm for now. Just did a quick 15 minute spin around the block to compare it to my Moots Compact. It was short by I like it! Steve and Max got it right.
Really calm and stable bike, but not sluggish. Eats up rough stuff pretty nice. Handling takes a little getting used to, but I guess that's normal.
My position on the bike feels natural and relaxed due to a slightly lower BB and longer HT and higher bar position.
I also like the bent chainstays… no more hitting them with my Fizik shoes!

Seatpost is a ti Chorus that I brushed to match the frame. GC calipers + Kool Stop = stopping power!

Will do a longer ride with the Neutrons this week and after that I'll slap on those handbuilts with Grand Bois 32mm… can't wait to test/compare them!
