Ok, took me a hair longer than I anticipated, and we're at build 1.0 for shakedown with lots of tuning to do and a few parts yet to come, but here's my new titanium GP from the Hampco Towers. Only had a short ride on it tonight, but extremely smooth, and very solid yet turns well. Eager to get a real ride in some hillier stuff (for Wisconsin:)) later this week!

note: photos now appear several posts belowCheck out the immaculate welds and cool brake bridge! Artistry at it's best.

I have a Fizik Cyrano carbon post coming, as well as white Campy hoods. Cages will be King ti, and I'm thinking about a gold Woodman seatpost clamp -- what think ye?

Also, wheels. Don't think the white Kinlin 270s w/CXRays on silver WI hubs are going to make it on this frame as much as I love the ride w/Open Pave CGs. Just got back from Trekworld this aft, and the new Aeolus ltubulars look like they might be just the ticket for a traditional looking build in the Aeolus 3 or 5 models. Very sweet wheels with the wide profile so my Hed C2s (laced but not tensioned/trued yet in my basement) will swap with no pad adjustments.

Steve & co are highly recommended!

PS. For those sharp of eye a rain shower just blew through and a few drips coming off the tree where I was shooting, but, hey -- it's titanium! :)

man, that's gorgeous. is it just the lighting or doe sthat ti frame look to have more blue in it? is it a different bead blast or something?

Thanks! I think it's a beautiful frame. The bluish tone is the from the lighting in the photos; took these just after a quick storm rolled through in overcast light and didn't tweak the color balance.

The finish is Steve's standard brushed finish. In daylight it's the warm grey we've come to associate with ti. I have a blue King headset that I had on another bike, and when I looked at putting it on the Hampsten it didn't work as well with the ti as does the gold one on the bike.

Knockout frame--the welds/brushed finish look great. Would you ever consider lightly sanding the red off the post and throwing some paint remover on the stem? Straight ''murdered out'' black components really seem to make a frame pop.

The Bontrager post is a placeholder; my Fizik Cyrano carbon will be all black -- matte and gloss graphics . I had though about stripping the graphics from the stem too -- great minds think alike:)
