Thanks everyone. It's easy to make a bike look good when HampCo is involved. He knows what to do.

With a Hampsten fender bike, it makes you wish for rain. Love that gray Max bike.

Anyone ready for that DC-area Hampco Family Reunion? Keeping my eyes peeled for a Matisse-esque group photo location . . .

Gimme a couple weeks or so, and I'll get to organizing. Finally got my surgery done on Thurs., so I'm gonna be off the thing for a little while.

Default Black Cherry Max Strada Bianca

Arrived Friday. Built up Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Neighborhood ride Saturday evening. Dirt road ride Sunday afternoon. Only thing left to do is cut down the steerer tube.

I feel like I could ride it in a straight line with no hands or feet. Steve was great to work with.

    Another very stoked Hampsten customer.

Thanks fellas. It is a great ride.

Steve said it is the first Max fork for them.

I dig it. Ride report(s) later.

Two weeks ago I made the journey to Hampco to pick up what may be the last Crema produced. It was super cool to meet Steve after 80 or so emails back and forth during the process. Needless to say, The Hampsten experience is second to none.
The build is an attempt to make this as practicle and utilitarian as possible with a mix of Shimano 105, R700 cranks, BR 600 brakes, and a 105/Velocity A23 wheelset shod with Challenge Parigi-Roubaix tires. The rest looks like an homage to Steve's aesthetic with a brown Fizik Aliante with matching tape, Ultegra 6600 post, and Thomson stem.
The ride is ineffably smooth and sublime.
More pics with fenders and a bit of a ride report to follow.

    Creamy.

I'm not a technical expert, why the break bolts are that long? Is this to fit fenders?
