    teleguy,

Sorry for the delayed response to your initial questions about my bike; my only excuse is that I've been out riding...

Attached are a couple of close-ups. The bike does have the Wound Up fork and the Hampco tape. We went with Campy Athena (silver); TRP medium reach brakes (also in silver), and Ritchey stem, fork and seatpost. The wheels (Hed Belgium rims, White Industry silver hubs) were also built at Hampco Industries. The wheels do a great job of smoothing out some of the rough roads here in the SF Bay Area (and going into the dirt); I really like being able to put on bigger tires. When I do the "stupid steep" climbing you can find around here, I sometimes opt for my Rol d'Huez wheels, which you can see in the third picture. (I figure I could get away with d'Huez wheels...)

What a joy to be riding a Hampsten!

@Larry_D, not a better excuse to be heard! Glad my brushed ti looks so good as it would be painful to pick one Hampco paint schema with yours, emoe's and other that show up in this thread.

In a couple of weeks I'll have some refreshed pics of my ti GP; been talking with Steve about one structural-type change as well as some cosmetic updates. Stay tuned -- of course, all subject to finding time to do tuning-type stuff vs riding as all opportunities present themselves.

From my Windy Ridge, Mt St Helens ride this weekend. Hampco MAX did not disappoint.

I've been spending more time on the vintage bikes lately and I've found that not only do I not mind DT shifters...I actually enjoy using them. I'm not sure how to explain it, maybe that I feel more "connected" to the shifting - I have to think about when and where to shift rather than just move a lever.

So with that in mind, I removed the Ergos and replaced them with non-aero levers and big-barrel retrofrictions. So far I'm loving it.

Mechanic Adam didn't like me throwing away old decals - that's all I'm saying.

    Steve,
Any updates on water bottles or tape? Inquiring minds want to know.

My love affair with this bike keeps getting better. I decided to put the deep dish Reynolds on for the Tuesday Night fast ride.
It's the first opportunity I've had to really get on it with the MAX fork and the fast wheels. It's a beast in this config.
IMO cornering at speed is even better with the steel fork than the original ENVE.
I think I'm going to ride it around like this for awhile.

All these "gravel bikes this, gravel bikes that" posts on these bike forums... Pffffttt.... I'm starting a new bike trend. The hottest thing will be "cave bikes". Pretty sure Specialized will be releasing a new beta model: the Specialized Spelunker.

    Rhymes with "Pavé", of course.

My fleet of Hampstens, including my son's (orange) --- which sadly he is outgrowing. I've also included my skinny tire white bike on its own. Just seemed like the right thing to do.

Five more and the 10th is free - with the punch card, of course. You still have it...?

I heard Malania Trump suggested that you use the tag-line "31 Flavors." mrowland has four of them!
