Quick one from this morning's ride. I'm really liking the HED C2's even more now that I've swapped a set of Veloflex tires onto them.

Ooops, I appear to have dropped something...

(these coqs are missing their eyes at the moment, hence not quite looking right!)

Unfortunately the brief got missed on the frame so that's now got to be rubbed back, have the masks resized and repositioned, then be sprayed again. The forks may get re-done too as I the coqs look too weird without the eyes.

I was beginning to wonder when the updated mask was going to come through for sign-off. Turns out the first pic of the frame was it!

I think it looks great. Chicken legs. That eye mask is so small the painter needed to simplify or it'd probably look like crap - get a black Sharpie and dot your eyes and it's good to go! It's all a stylization, anyway.

True. Thankfully the painter focused on my frame today and nailed it. It's now just down to the application of the final finishing touch, clear coats, baking and courier timings as to whether I get it back this Friday in time to build and ride on my birthday on Sunday, or have to wait until Monday...

I *really* want to share the latest update because I think it looks f*cking cool, but I'm going to wait.

First ride on the Corsa I got off of Dustin. Better picks to come, need to adjust reach etc.
Best packing job I've seen to get it shipped here.

Nice...you now have one of the sweetest Gaulzetti paint jobs around. Better pics are a must.

    Thanks Jacob,

Just back from a 100k shakedown ride. This thing is a monster. So rewarding of effort.
Much thanks to CXinNH, this is his old frame and is replacing the Caad10 I crashed out this season.

I was done by the guy who paints for Kumo - he had set himself up as 'Velopaint' as a sideline from his main job (which I assume to be automotive painting, given that he has a full setup), but he's decided to knock it on the head as a continued business aside from Keith's bikes.

I did not understand bikes before I got Craig's masterpiece, and I understand them even less now.
All I know is that is the gold standard that I am comparing everything to.
The more you push it, the more it gives back.
