Some parting shots. After a brief stay here, the frame is on its way to the west coast.

    Action shot shows:
    1) Fluxmo put me on the right bike. Never has a bike felt more natural or neutral to me.
    2) Jerk's bikes beg to be pushed hard, and respond. I've got a quarter lap on the field here.
    3) My planning sucks. Broke a spoke, no neutral support, didn't bring wheels. Game over. Sigh.

The material of the frame over longer distances really has no effect if the design of the frame and the geometry are correct. Add to that your position on the bike being proper, and you will pass the miles without a second thought. Last night I smacked a pothole while in the paceline so hard that the bars rotated down a smidge. The impact felt through the bike was no greater than on many of the carbon bikes I've been on. Almost felt like a really nice steel frame absorbing the impact. If you can swing it, definately do so. It's worth the meals of Ramin that may result.

i contemplate using this reason often, but have yet to take the chomp. so many frames seem worth it, so which is one is worth Ramen more than the other ones?

This one, seriously. I bought a Ridley Damocles with the ISP about 2 months after the Gaulzetti. The Ridley is an awesome bike and is cheaper, but if I sold either of them, it would be the Ridley without a hesitation. The one that you're looking at that is used is an absolute steal for that price.

i think if you look at the picture of me in my avatar all your questions will be answered. (just kidding.) thanks for the kind words everyone esp. auk. i try to put the wheels in the right place and the rest of the stuff too; that and nice stiff round pipes and you get a competent bike.

Everything dude. Craig knows where the wheels go and the top tube doesn't wiggle--everything else is gravy.

It's the perfect race bike imho.

Thanks! It's the normal aluminum Corsa, but I asked about getting it de-masted in order to make it a bit easier to travel with. It's a biggish frame size (think it's a 58cm top tube, I didn't ask Justin what size it was), and there aren't quite as many case options for ISP bikes.

There's a lot of metal flake in the paint, so it looks really cool in sunlight:

That's great. I guess the 11 speed chain doesn't care that it's being turned by SRAM rings?

Doesn't seem to be a problem so far. Flux said it would be ok as well.
