Plus it was raining this morning and I didn't feel like washing a bike for the 6th day in a row, so I had the time.

    I love this one.

Me too. I've got around 125 miles on it since the rebuild and no issues so far. I even went ahead and changed the tape (the wrap in the photo was on the bars from when the bars were on a different bike...it was old and nasty). Hopefully the bottom bracket issues don't come back and I can happily put another 35,000 miles on it. This is really one of my favorite bikes of all time and it puts a huge smile on my face to be riding it again.

You have brought balance to The Force.
Edit: That is a Star Wars joke, not a SRAM joke.

That era of SRAM Force is a great looking groupset, imho - though I prefer it with black brakes.. Really sweet Gaulzetti.

    Actually, it's a both joke!

Also, it now has Easton green camo tape that I've been saving for years since this is the only bike I have that can pull it off. I'm really hoping the thread together bottom bracket does the trick and lets me thrash the bike for a while longer. Not that it owes me anything after the years of riding and racing, but oh man has it been great to ride. Like reconnecting with an old friend and picking up right where you left off.

Yeah, I don't love the finish of the SRAM Red AeroLink brakes, but they work really well once set up. Much better than the Force or Rival brakes.

For sure - I just meant I wish they had developed brakes that better matched the crankset and levers.. But I guess the brakes do match the RD, so there's that. I haven't ridden mechanical SRAM forever. TBH, kinda curious to try it again.

Post update with easton tape. Do you like that stuff? I have been look for PRO or maybe get back into Fizik (microtex was my fav') but that easton camo stuff caught my eye. audacious, certainly.

New pic below. I've had this tape in my parts bin for years, but today's ride confirmed that I really like it. It's not expensive, it's comfy, decent grip and easy to wrap. I've posted this on the handlebar wrap thread, but I love the newer Fizik tapes as well.

I like it Matt. Be bold and weird. Frame is gunmetal, all business. Camo is a fun play on the idea of a weapon. Lionel probably prefers bland porsche colors.

That bike is off the charts with current build. I miss my old Corsa from years back. Plus, the Terrazzo is en fuego. Need photos of entire house..
