I've ridden a decent number of carbon bikes, and this thing blows everything away. I don't know what dark arts they're practicing or what Old Gods Craig and Jeff are making offerings to down in Del Mar, but this bike is absurdly good.

First ride today was, of course, in the rain as the weather rolled in through the Golden Gate. But after 3-ish hours on this thing, I'm certain of a couple things: 1) I've never had a new bike that needed less position tweaking. Its perfect outta the box. Craig nailed it. 2) I once considered the Time VXR the gold standard of carbon bikes, but this is a whole 'nother level. I've never had a bike with 30c tires handle this capably and nimbly, but still stable enough that even my fraidy cat self was comfortable going hands-free on rough East Bay pavement.

Complaints? The valve stem on the front is ticking so I have to get some electrical tape.

Seriously lovely. If I could order an eff-builder bike right now (and could actually decide whether I want rim brakes or disc brakes), one of these would probably be it.

Jealous! Would be tough to choose between this and the Aerotack.

Aerotack is more expensive so you should go with that.

Of these the Pavaix appeals to me the most. It's certainly the closest thing to the "One Bike to Rule Them All" concept. Seems to cover almost all points without compromising any of them. Except aero needs at the upper end, which is meaningless to me at this point in my life.

    How does one pronounce Pavaix?

Pavaix looks really great covered in cobblestone dust, wherever that fits into your Hierarchy of Buying Needs:

And Jeff shooting the Pavaix's at the chateau for the Insta's:

The purple/green/carbon on the Pavaix looks great. Well done.

It's happening! The white and grey portions are a really nice pearlescent. Time to build it back up.

Hmm logically no. "é" isn't pronounved like ai/ait/ais/aix in french which would sound more like "č".

Using the international phonetic alphabet :
    Pavé is pronounced \pa.ve\
    Roubaix is pronounced \ʁu.bɛ\
Pavaix would logically be pronounced \pa.vɛ\

From a few years ago. May be the only 1st gen Corsa every ridden through d2 (likely only on 53/39).

Most of Craig's creations posted look spotless. This one has worn out a bunch of components, replaced with whatever was available.
This Corsa (sold a couple years ago) still probably holds records for most elevation and shitty weather miles.

The pink bar tape lasted about 6 weeks in spring riding. Plus, I could not stand to look at the shitty wrap job done by somebody after a couple of Headys.

Lionel, that bike is sick. I mean that in a good way. Perhaps the purest distillation of what it means to be a real racing bike. A perfect organism.

Also, chapeau on the color choice.
