it is... just can't tell you the difference between head set i7 i have on my first FF and this one is i8, this looks a bit more "elegant" to me ... the head/fork crown looks smoother.

IIRC, the I8 was designed in collaboration with Ben at Argonaut to look more seamless with the head tubes on his carbon 'Space Bike' frames. No harm in using them to achieve the same goal on Ti though eh? It definitely does look smoother.

The Internet seems to indicate that the I8 is for 1-1/4 tapered steerers while the I7 is for 1-1/2 tapered steerers.

thanks Daniel, but there are many nice ones here..

    bike gets some changes

SRAM Force 22 with a Wifli derailleur and a 32 cassette, will sand down the grey parts of the Force crankset.
a Salsa Cowbell handle bar, rode Ads bike and it felt very good.

this guy will build me a titan front rack Titanrahmen
something similar to this, without light holder

for a nice big handle bar bag from her: ParsleyBags

so for tours where all stuff can be placed in the front I can skip the back rack.

    More praise for FF:

I came in to possession of 158 via VSalon about a year ago...

Swapped in Luxe hoops, otherwise hard to improve...

I doubt gravel was a factor in the original spec, but 28s are compatible, at least in the case of Paselas...

    Lunch stop @ D2R2...

Hope to go through the FF build process from step one someday.

Until then, lots of satisfaction here.

    beautiful Ti-Carbon FF! enjoy it!

the red tape, red stuff around seat post dos not work to me, takes too much attention.

And for me, the all black look of de-stickered carbon rims, black headset, seat post collar, bar tape, etc., is singularly boring. Isn't that the beauty of these machines though? We design and accent them to our particular vision. If that vision doesn't suit someone else, that's fine and maybe even how it should be otherwise we'd all be on Treks.

What are the pros and cons of the ti-carbon firefly?

Do you like it better then the ti firefly?
