Gotta tell ya...this Firefly stuff is pretty cool. Love the builds. Like the ISP stuff. Like to see more paint on the stainless stuff. Nevertheless, I find myself coming back to see what y'all are doing.

Was just poking around Twitter (I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account) and came across a photo that Kevin took while I was down there dropping off most of the parts. Here's a shot of the NOS CBR RSR crankset that will grace my lovely Firefly. The Chris King/ENVE wheels are in the background, too. Can you tell I'm REALLY excited to get my Firefly?!!!! I check out their Tumblr site daily and, wow, there's a lot of nice stuff posted!

Judging by the parts you're building your Firefly with I fully expect (and will be watching/waiting) to see pics posted within 10 minutes of build completion.

Looks like it's going to be rad!

Thanks for the compliments folks. I'm pretty jazzed about the bike. It'll certainly be quite unique. It's also getting CBR skewers and a shiny NOS Precision Billet ProShift drivetrain. I really like the stuff from the early/mid-1990s. Anyway, Tyler text messaged me a photo of the Engin fork on Friday and it looks very nice. Everything is coming into place....

MDP: How did you arrive at the fit? There's more drop there than one usually sees in a monster cross machine. I've always been curious about this...never had a drop-bar dirt bike.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?

Wow. Dangerpants has a really nice eye for sourcing and building amazing bikes. I am always impressed. This Firefly is no different.

I like that it is really different- spec and design.

I will be curious to see what you think of the ride. I have ridden Hookworms before but on a really heavy dirt jumper- will be curious to hear what you think of the ride.

Nice work. Congrats on the great bike.

    What, no Onza pedals?
Seriously, that looks like one fun ride. Bikes like this make me smile. I don't think it would be possible to ride that bike without a huge shit eating grin!

    That is gorgeous.

IIRC, his green Wojcik had more than normal mtb/monstercrosser drop - though that frame was probably designed for a flat bar.
