Stefan, you seem to opt for bigger tubes in front triangle for your non-touring firefly, how's the ride compare?

    hello Norman,

compare to my 1 1/8 HT on the touring bike? I think I can't answer the question, since the bikes behave very very different, since their purpose is very different. the touring bike is a very calm ride, stiff, and very straight forward, like on rails, not very dynamic, keeping very good the line you want to go, very stable with weight on, long wheelbase, low bb. I think even putting light wheels in that would not change much. but thats good, it has to be stable with weight, no need to react fast and dynamic.
if I now compare the road FF with the oversized HT to my colnago c59, I can say that the colnago is a little more responsive, but also the harder ride, the FF is more then stiff enough, at the front
as stiff as the colnago, maybe a little less in bb, but much more comfortable. while on the carbon bike road bumps may shake your bike and body ;) the titan FF absorbs very nice the tarmac irregularities. hope thats helps a bit. best S.
