I swore I was done with my frame buying ways, but then I saw this MX Leader in my size. Of course I already have one in my size -- this one is just prettier. My green 53cm frame/fork is now looking for a new owner. Build is combination of Record/Centaur 10 speed with a ti chorus seatpost I've been saving for just such an occasion. Bike was originally a Lotto team frame with surprisingly little wear. All it needs is a tramp stamped Enve fork, and I'm good to go.

ST is 54 and TT is 54.5. My previous MX Leader was a stock 53 (53x54.3), which worked for me, but showed a bit too much quill and seatpost for my liking. Took the new sled on a shakedown ride this evening. Asides from lowering the post from what is pictured above, didn't have to do any fidgeting. Feels rock solid.

Make that a chorus (no Campy pun intended). The bike is perfect just with the existing raked steel fork.

He's joking, obvi. MX Leaders are 1". Enve only makes 1 1/8th and tapered. Also the fork is the frame on MX Leader.

Yes, he'll most likely fix it, flat bar it, pink saddle it, purple chain it, and add a 650c rev-x on the front for good measure. Maybe a mad fiber rear?

As you can tell from my past I'm a bit frightened of the tramp stamp fork. Well done dbh.

Pretty sweet CL find. '03 Merckx Race in Lotto-Domo w/ full Chorus alloy 10 sp group. Cleaned up and overhauled. Came out pretty nice.

i have an early version of centaur (03 or 04) that i picked up on the salon on the bike -- pleased with how it turned out.

took it for a ride today -- will be a great everyday (to class, etc.) bike.

p.s. the guys at circle a are great; highly recommended!

Yes, very nice ride, but ur rear der is screaming in pain because ur chain is much too short and about to rip ur rear hanger off the frame. Looks like u need at least three more links. EM3

    Here's my Merckxes

TT is TSX tubing ovalised, has number hanger. Frame number is unusual but may be '85. I fitted early '90's late C Record shifters and derailleurs. Brake levers are Modolo Kronus.

SC is pretty much as original setup from '02.

AX is the frame only = 95 I think. Everything else changed. Threadless fork, Stans rims.

...I also think he joking about the complete weight of his MX Leader....there is no way that bike weights 15.9 lbs.
